Pricey but fun for families with smaller children. They do have the best Apple Cider Doughnuts

Loved it. Pros - apple picking was fun easy, counter store had plenty of food and chochkey options (apple donuts!!!). Cafe was great and good value. Kids play area was cool and good for working off the the donuts. Good close parking. Not too busy. Cons - N/A. Thanks Curtis

It’s been nearly 20 years since my last visit back to the home I was raised. So much growth that still leaves space to connect with the earth and humans that treat it with the respect it deserves. A celebration of fall and all the bounty it brings.

I have enjoyed going to Curtis Orchard since i was a little kid. It is still largely as i remember it being. They have outdoor activities that are the most fun for little kids, and i enjoy their theme of MGM's The Wizard of Oz. Perhaps the reason to go, however, is for the doughnuts and apple cider they sell that they make from scratch. You will find few sweet treats in central Illinois that are more tasty! One thing that i will say is that when we went in 2020, they seemed way busier than i remember them being in the past. Maybe it's because we went near peak season or on a weekend, but just keep in mind that you want to get there early— both early in the season and early in the day to avoid the crowds. My one criticism of them i think has more to do with me than with them. Nonetheless, i found the items sold in the store (that weren't edible) to be the usual tourist merch, which i don't remember it being that way when we came when i was a little kid. Perhaps age makes the magic fade.

They have so much to offer! The apple cider is so good, their Amish-style fudge is great, and they have these cool elaborate stones and I had to buy them. I didn’t know strawberry and hot chocolate butter existed, and it looked delicious so I had to buy some. The employees were so nice and cheery!
