I must say we are not even half way through our first year here and I could not be happier! I have a 13 year old son who has gained some self confidence! Coming from public schools where the teachers are overloaded and don’t seem to care, to here where even though this year is a learning curve for us all, you can tell they care! They also take pride in grades coming up because I believe they know they had a hand in that! I have an 8th grader and a 7th grader here, his grades although not perfect have improved so much and he actually understands the work and isn’t scared to ask questions if he doesn’t! My 7th grader is finally learning done morals and the true definition of friendship here! Especially with covid going on, they have all requirements ready, temps taken before leaving the vehicle, I feel perfectly safe sending my kids to in person learning during this unexpected crisis. I love the uniforms, instead of taking so much time to pick out outfits they can finally focus on learning! Huge shoutout to Mr. DeDonato and Ms. Jensen! You are all amazing, but you two are especially amazing! Thank you so much!

This is my 1st time to write a bad review for a school. Growing up from a different country, I really appreciate teachers, education and luckiness to be here. I sent my daughter to Dobson Academy because it closes to my mom and my house. However, after listening to all the rules they have because of covid 19 and lack of communication from teacher and the principal, I withdrew my daughter out of the school. I emailed the teacher and the principal over a week without response. Their plans for learning online is unreasonable. They made 1st grade to log in from 8:30 - 3:30. Students wear uniforms when studying online. Parents have to log in Zoom 2 times a day. I’m sorry but it won’t apply even for parents working from home. What they expect 6 year old to be focus for that long period of time and who will help them when the parents also have full time jobs. I emails the principal to ask if there is another plan for parents working full time. No response. They try to push all students to go back school in the middle of the pandemic and my daughter has the condition. I want to send her back to, but I won’t risk her life. Her teacher had no ideas if she was struggling with math or reading (she got the same teacher from kindergarten). My daughter was ignored many times during Zoom meetings. The teacher asked every single kids for their work, not my daughter. It’s not because I’m the mother and recognized it. My sister saw it a few times and told me the same things. Bad school. I hope the school to be more flexible with online learning. Now my daughter goes to different charter school. They have all videos posted and parents can help kids anytime they have time. Meeting 30 mins to an hour a day, but it’s an optional because all parents need to work.
My kids love going here. Nice teacher's great principal and just an all around good school.
Love this school! I volunteer every week and have gotten to know a lot of the teachers and staff. Everyone is so caring and amazing, you can tell they truely enjoy their jobs. Dr. Winn is always available to answer any questions or concerns and make you feel welcome. I wish I would have found this school when my oldest was in Kinder, but at least my youngest gets an amazing education from the start.
Great school, with great staff! Highly recommend to all parents!
