My boyfriend graciously gave me a Charleston Sailboat Charter with Mental Heeling for my birthday. I simply couldn't recommend it more if I possibly tried. Jay and Franzi were a JOY, and made the entire experience one to remember. They were kind, welcoming, and full of knowledge on not only sailing, but on Charleston and its history. The boat is gorgeous and you have the chance to fully explore it/steer the boat if you so please. We felt like family on this charter, and would do it again in a heartbeat! It's a Charleston-Visit-Must to sail with Mental Heeling.

Captain Jay is warm and inviting which made the sailing experience even better! He educated us about the city and waterways and made us feel so welcome. You will not be disappointed. Well worth it! I'll be sailing with him again :)
Had a wonderful time on our sunset sail with Captain Jay! He let my husband be involved in the sailing process, answered all our questions about sailing and the area, and communicated clearly so finding him wasn’t difficult! Definitely a beautiful way to see Charleston from a different perspective and get out on the water. Highly recommend.
Jay and Isa did an excellent job helping us relax and enjoy the beautiful harbor views. Good conversation, as one facts about Charleston, and some fantastic views. Highly recommend.
