This was probably one of the best food experiences I've had in Charlotte. The owner and her family were extremely hospitable and kind. And the food was awesome. Spiced perfectly and cooked well. Definitely a gem I will be returning to.

If you want to eat delicious traditional Ethiopian food go to Ethiopian resturant. This place isn't as good as many Ethiopian Restaurants. Food taste and presentation lacks authenticity. The owners are Eritreans. I noticed that the Excellent Ethiopian restaurants are operated by Ethiopians. Something to notice and look out for is the name of Ethiopian resturants do not bare the name "Eritrea" by any means. A resturant with a name "Eritrean and Ethiopian" is 100% Eritrean and not Ethiopian.
This food was amazing. The owner was very friendly and helpful with helping me order something I might really like. She correctly suspected I wasn't too familiar with East African cuisine and made sure I had the best dinner experience as possible. She also invited me back to enjoy the lunch buffet sometime. I'm new to the neighborhood and I will definitely be going back!
Owner was very nice and made me feel welcomed! Food was very tasty as I remembered it as a child living next door to an Ethiopian family. Perfect flavor with good amount of spices. Would recommend if you're on the fence!
Had a great experience this evening. Food was excellent and the staff friendly and very helpful. We were unaware that they didn't have high chairs when we brought our 1 yr old so that was a bit disappointing but I'll be going back again soon for the great food!
Never had Ethiopian before and how it looks on the outside I was a little nervous. Was greeted by the owner and she explained how to eat and what to order. It was delicious!! Almost similar to Indian, but the flavors are more subtle. Highly recommend and will be back!

If you want Authenticity, you will find it here. Typical small family, small restaurant with ethnic & local flavors. The menu even bends to standard children's fair. So mom and dad can enjoy the other world cuisine. 5 stars for the friendly good service and food. No pretentious settings or attitude. Well priced for the quality and quantity of portions. Come as you are.
