A VERY VERY BAD PLACE!!! DON’T VISIT!!! I went the wrong way and parked at the parking area for just 10 minutes and waited for my friends. Then someone came out from the building said they would call police. They are very rude. I explained that I will leave there soon but the staffs are very impolite. I can tell that those staffs are poorly educated. I believe this hospital will not have any patients because of their bad service.

A great PLACE! I stayed at hopeway in Charlotte for about 43 days longest my insurance would let me stay and it saved my life and help me so much at the time. The NURSES were wonderful won’t names since they all were. The facility and campus and brand new feel like and beautiful landscaping. You have your own private room and bath. Even with covid we made and tried to make it more interesting. Im from wilmington and my dr was Dr peck and my therapist was Corey. I am so thankful for all the staff so supportive, smiling, Helping and happy to be there. The food was amazing also and then there is a snack bar 3 Times a days. Full size basketball gym. Got a smaller gym to work out not to bad. Nice little trail. Bobby at horticulture is amazing Art is amazing. Thank to all at Hopeway for helping me get the help I needed back in May-June 2020. Love you all. Thanks

Just a quick update to adults and special needs parents with a Spectrum Diagnosis. Hopeway informed of their policy to refuse any and all Autism Spectrum Diagnosis, including Aspergers, PDD, etc. It may be helpful to know before considering Hopeway. They will not complete an evaluation, intensive outpatient, or therapy services if you have any type of Autism/Aspergers/PDD diagnosis. If Hopeway could please list this on your website, and with Autism Society and additional advocacy groups, it would be helpful. Thank you for your response. The blanket denial of any person with an Autism Spectrum Diagnosis, was communicated by Hopeway staff, upon request of services for a family member. I was told by an intake staff memeber of Hopeway, the facility does not admit, or consider, any person with an Autism Spectrum Diagnosis, even if the diagnosis is not the impediment or concern. This was extended to evaluation and out patient counseling. Additionally, I was told Hopeway had previously admitted patients with Aspergers/High Functioning Autism, and “it didn’t work.” I was told Hopeway’s model does not work for a person with any type of Autism Spectrum Disorder due to their “black and white thinking,” and “inability to process” in a group setting. I certainly understand a Spectrum diagnosis presents challenges, and appreciate Hopeway’s candid response.
