One star is almost too many. Shockingly rude and unhelpful staff in my first visit to the Albemarle County Clerk office. Please add \Customer Service\ to whatever qualifications are now required for these positions. I will add an update as I unfortunately had to return to get a document today and was helped as the offensive staff member was not there.

Sent in request for name change for a relative in July of 2019 with all the paperwork completed and a check for the required fee.. Has been sitting in clerk's office since never processed. Call several times and was told had no record. Finally found last week, never processed.. Still waiting for action. Very inefficient.

the mission statements says you will provide \efficient\ service to the public among other things. Your hours are terrible. 8:30 - 4:30. People who work day shifts cannot get there, so we have to take off work to conduct business with the clerks office. County offices are open 8-5, allowing us time before or after work to get there. You open after we start, and close before we get off. Not very efficient, and very inconvenient for the public when they have to take time off work to come in.

Judge Higgins allowing a dog (NIKO) to be put to sleep because he attacked and killed a cat is unjust. The option to move this dog out of state would serve the Commonwealth cause but Judge Higgins is out for blood and the Charlottesville-Albemarle animal control system is out for a personal vendetta. Clearly this dog is not vicious and is being killed for the fact it did what dogs instinctively do, while sad it doesn't justify death to NIKO. Corruption is EVIDENT.

Clerks were very friendly regarding a parking ticket, and very helpful!
