I want you to look directly at the picture. Yes. That's my thumb and it was raining and I was one of those jerks taking a picture of their food. Besides all that, in the photo there's a steak Philly cheese steak and a chicken Philly cheese steak in fist sized fried balls of wonder. They've made my life better. The combined cost of both, 8.50 or close to that and since I'm doing a show a block away, hence I was bumbling around looking for cheap fast food, this is a wonderful find. The average person could eat one and be happy, but I'm a tubby muffin, so I eat two of things. I don't live on this side of town, but anytime. Any. When given the option to visit either Pat's (I don't go to Geno's because I'm not a fool and Gems is overrated) or here. I'll waltz over here, save myself the hour drive and leave way way happier.

The service is always fast, good character, welcoming employees. I will return again when I get in town.
The food is consistently fresh and delightful, staff members hands out excellent customer service. I really like how clean it is and character. Will come visit again.
I thought they closed!!! Omg my coworkers and I were really sad when we couldn't order from them again about a year ago. I need to see it to believe it. Anyways, BEST DAMN EMPANADA POUCHES YOU'LL EVER HAVE. Period!!

I’m not in the East Village often, but happened to be there last night. Realizing I was hungry, I stopped in to Che Cafe, and am so glad I did! I had a spinach with feta and the chicken cheesesteak. All I can say is WOW! I’m craving them all day today!! Must go back for more...
Delicious chechenitas. Can't believe I haven't been here until now. Going to make it one of my regular lunch spots given their deal. 2 and a drink for 8! Crunchy, spicy, savory, all around deliciousness.
Tiny little gem. Wanted a quick bite - and the cheese steak empanada was fantastic. The dough wasn't too thick and had a nice crispiness.
