Easy hike from the lot to the bottom of the falls. Although you start out on a wide, unpaved road and stay on it for the majority of the way, keep an eye out for the \WATERFALL -\u003e\ sign that will direct you off this road and onto the trail when you get close. There are more difficult paths to see the falls from a higher point, but this sign directs you to where most tourists are looking to get to. It is posted higher than eye level and blends into the tree it sits on.

Great place for a hike with the dog, tho may have to carry over the metal bridges. Legs could potentially get caught there. Otherwise very clean & actually enough off trails so not crowded, even if lots of vehicles parked in the lot. Best in the spring with the runoff, and fall for colour.

Nice trail heading to falls all up hill as to be expected. Not much water currently coming over the falls. Will do it again after some good rains.

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL AREA. NOT ONLY IS THIS A NICE EXAMPLE OF A HORSETAIL, CASCADING WATERFALL WITH A 60 FOOT DROP. TO GET TO THE FALLS YOU'LL BE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 20. THE 100 YEAR OLD, 35 MILE JACOB'S LADDER SCENIC BYWAY. WHICH HAS PLENTY OF OTHER TRAILS. THERE ARE TWO PARKING LOTS AND FROM THE TOP LOT IS A 1.8 MILE OUT & BACK HIKE. MOST OF THE HIKE IS ON A STEADY UP HILL PAVED ROAD. WHEN YOU GET NEAR THE FALLS YOU'LL SEE A SIGN ON YOUR RIGHT POINT TO THE LAST PART OF THE TRAIL TO THE FALL. OR YOU CAN DO A 4.8 MILE LOOP WITH A VISTA VIEW AND A STONE FIREPLACE AND CHIMNEY. THE HIKE IS VERY EASY AND IS GREAT FOR ALL AGES, FAMILY FUN AND DON'T FORGET TO BRING ROVER. :). THERE ARE A FEW BRIDGES YOU'LL CROSS OVER BUT THE FIRST ONE IS A GREAT SPOT TO PLAY THE WINNIE THE POOH STICK RACE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A REALLY NICE DAY OF VIEWS AND WATERFALLS. WITH IN 38 MILES OF EACH OTHER YOU HAVE LAURA'S TOWER, GLENDALE FALLS & SANDERSON BROOK FALLS. YOU CAN DO ALL 3 TRAILS AND STILL MAKE LUNCH OR EARLY DINNER.
