This is a great place to hike and have a view of the places around. There is a big rock called Chimney Rock at almost the end of the trail which is said to be 500 million year old. It is located at the elevation of 2280’ and standing on this rock I had a beautiful and complete view of the river and the places around me. If you are a casual photographer or just want to take some good pictures then Chimney Rock Park is highly recommended. Hiking up the trail is a nice experience and if one wants to spend some more time around, there are trails leading to waterfalls and other naturally beautiful spots. The entrance ticket for the park was 12 for adults. I really enjoyed hiking up the hill and liked the spot. It is one of my favorite places I have visited so far. I met a couple from New Zealand, Patrick and Lili and their around 1 year old daughter who was trying to hike up some steps by herself. They liked the place as much as I did. Chimney Rock Woods: Covering an area of 100 acre, the chimney rock trails are a fun and enjoyable hiking place. There is a 26 story elevator boosts inside the mountain and trails leading to 500 million years old Chimney Rock and water falls. Walking through the woods, one can feel the beauty of nature and is an amazing experience. I liked hiking to the top of Chimney Rock and had an eagle view of the river stretching long miles below and I recommend this place if you happen to visit North Carolina.

Very helpful people. You have to drive up some winding roads to find out it's 15 a person. It'd be nicer if they post it at street level.

Chimney Rock has changed since the last time I was here which was years ago. They have more to do in the town for children.
