Run-A-Way Bill

Amarillo, Texas —- The “Circus Room” is located directly on Route 66, is a true local’s favorite watering hole, has been pouring smiles for nearly 50 years and “Joyce” has been the continuous owner all those years. The “Circus Room” is a “Run-A-Way Bill” Favorite bar because of all the above mentioned, plus the most interactive & friendly regulars make it their favorite come-to bar. I had so many laughs today, I felt I should have paid a cover charge. Between the continuous one-liners & people “bustin’ each other’s chops” I had laugh tears on my cheeks. I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia, but I have been visiting the “Circus Room” whenever I travel Route 66. This should be my 6th visit, if my memory is doing its job. I have visited at least 1200 bars since 2017 and I consider the “Circus Room” “Clown Mouth” mural entrance my most anticipated doorway to smiles. I thank owner/operator “Joyce”, her staff team & her local customers for the many smiles the “Circus Room” has given me. “Run-A-Way Bill” was here! ... and will always return 01.25.21

I come here for Raechelle. She is awesome and always hosts a good time. Tonight though I had a less than perfect experience. Another server was sitting at the bar and decided to take Raechelle in the back to yell at her about something trivial, which we could ALL hear. Then the other server sat at the bar talking about her loudly and saying she doesn’t care who hears because she is saying something she would not be afraid to say to her face. It caused mad tension and many regulars left due to her behavior. I held my tongue and stayed, but I was not happy. I have never seen such actions happen in a business setting. If she had something to discuss with Raechelle she should have done it privately and in a professional manner. I am highly disappointed in her actions. Luckily Raechelle still works here otherwise I’d never return.
