I am a combat disabled veteran rated at 100% disability. I am trying to get my homestead exemption. I went to the Georgia department veteran services, they told me all I needed was my 100% disability and DD-214. But when I presented my documents to the tax assessor they would not expect them and requested other documents the employe was rude. I called VA and department of revenue to double if there are any other requirements that's all that is required.I will give a update when the problem is solved. Problem solved the next day.
