You can't find a better Marine Surveyor than Don. Very knowledgeable and thorough. Gives you all the detail and goes beyond the original survey to answer any questions. It was great experience spending the day with him, learned so much on how to care for a boat. I highly recommend him you will not regret it.

Don Mikalsen of TopCastle Marine Surveyors performed a pre-purchase survey of a 40 yr old 36 ft sailboat for me last week. He was prompt, professional, very thorough and very knowledgeable about the details of the construction and operation of all facets of the boat. Don's survey highlighted several issues with the boat and provided objective guidance on their severity and what required near-term vs. long-term attention. He is an interesting and pleasant guy to spend the day with to boot. I would highly recommend Don for a marine survey.
Don surveyed a boat for us last week & he could not have been better. He was so thorough, and sent us the most amazing report on it. I can't recommend him enough, and cannot imagine buying a boat without his expertise.
