All three of my children attended MCA. One even did the toddler program as well. The other 2 left after the primary program starting their new school in 1st grade. I absolutely loved it at Montessori Children’s Academy. The school provided structure kids need but allowed for creativity and wonder to occur everyday. It was well managed and the parents were well informed and supported. My kids were given an excellent education but beyond that they were taught about having good character traits, about respecting others and the environment. They were nurtured, encouraged, supported and inspired. My kids are now in 5th, 9th & 11th. All of them have consistently had state MAP (MEAP) scores that are well above average as well as high GPA’s. We are now looking at Harvard & MIT for my oldest. Moreover, they are inquisitive, creative and resourceful which I feel is due to the nature of Montessori training. Montessori I believe encourages the children to try new things, to do what inspires you and together with staff like Mrs Ianuzzi & Mrs Lee help guide them from an interest to a mastery in areas of learning. Their teaching was well rounded to not just learn numbers, colors, shapes etc like most preschools but to learn botany, practical like skills, geography, environmental sustainability, etc too. They really flourished. They learned to have a love of: learning, of trying new things and problem solving. I am truly grateful that my kids has the opportunity to attend Montessori Children’s Academy.
