I like them better than Iron Horse - CMC pays more overall. I agree with the \closed for lunch\ thing being something they need to get rid of. Employ an over-lapping worker schedule so you're always open for business. Iron Horse has you beat being that they are at least open half days on Sat. Overall? Still better to do business with CMC than Iron Horse. Mike Ross, CMC is huge and worldwide. They could overlap lunch with the present people they have and not have to hire more people. For example, two people take their lunch at eleven and then two people take their lunch at 12 and stay open like most businesses do. It's the right way to do business. Your \get a clue\ attitude is not needed and only alienates people. You're better than that. Be blessed.

Overall great experience! Homeowners who expect Lowes/Home Depot customer service...give your scrap to someone else who can use the . I disagree w/reviews criticizing closing for lunch, adding overlapping staff - get a clue! (If you've never run your own small business, you don't have a clue.) At least one guy handles aluminum, copper, brass; another the scales; at least one for ferrous scrap; and a manager who approves payment (and more guys in the back yard)...each designed to handle big & small loads of each type of scrap as it arrives, at any given time. Service is as expected. Unloading 4 types of scrap went smooth. Scales are accurate for big & small scrap I had (900lbs ferrous, 2-50lbs other types). Prices fair. Everything takes a bit of time - don't come here 30 minutes before closing (4pm) with more than 2 metal types to be handled manually. The scrap biz is a tight margin operation - its designed for the big rig with one metal type that can get on the scale & unload 5 tons in 5 minutes and update an \account\ electronically.
