Do you ever change your cooking oil? Asked for potato salad and got 2 worth oil soaked tater tots! Meat was tough w hardly any taste or sauce on it. Where did all the good reviews come from?

This place is our go to Hawaiian BBQ place. It is kid friendly. They have a kids menu. Aside from the regular menu, you have the option to make your own plate with lots of options. The food comes in to go packaging regardless if you are dining there or taking it to go. The only downside is the wait can be long. When it’s not busy, the minimum wait time is 15-20min. Longer if it’s busy. For us it’s worth the wait because the portions are good, it tastes great, and they make it fresh to order. We adjust our arrival time to include the cook wait time so that we can eat at the time we want to.
Went by here a few weeks ago and got their Burger! (I know go to a Hawiian Restaurant and get a Burger lol) But it was delicious! Everything from the burger to lettuce was absolutely fresh! Can't wait to have another one soon. Was also so thrilled to see they serve Dole Whip! What a surprise that was and it was as delicious as it was in Hawaii! Keep up the awesome work it's no wonder this place is busy!
My boyfriend and I kept hearing about this place after we moved from Kansas. His family is Hawaiian and kept telling us we HAD to come here. So we did today after we went to the gym. We were SO surprised. This is the best Hawaiian food my boyfriend and I have had. The price was HALF of what he usually paid for Hawaiian food in Kansas, and so, so much better. I was expecting to hate it, because I had never really liked what I had tried in Kansas. However, the food here was absolutely incredible and the portion sizes are awesome! I’m an incredibly picky eater too (I went to culinary school lol) and now I’m swearing by this place instead of going through a drive thru. Thank you for changing how I feel about Hawaiian food!!!
After contemplating some of our favorite places, we decided to try a new place that was a hit with the local Colorado Springs crowd. Since we saw it’s similarities to Panda Express & Tokyo Joe’s- we knew we had to give it a try. We ordered online and arrived a few minutes late. While waiting our order was called and it felt like that both entrees just came out of the oven. This was a great first step as we knew that even though they were pretty backed up, that they did not sacrifice on quality to get the order out on time. We waited until we got home to enjoy our food. My chicken Katsu tasted pretty good, but nothing incredible. What was remarkable though was how incredible I felt - it didn’t feel like I was eating bad! The rice, veggies, and chicken made me feel nourished and full! My wife’s dish was the real winner. That beef complimented the teriyaki sauce to a tee and honestly will be my order next time. Super flavorful and compared to the Katsu was far superior. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised and the Colorado Springs community did not let us down. All of this for 15.10 after tax shows that this place delivers quality food without skimping on quantity either. If you want to switch it up, try this place out. It might just become a staple!
