After numerous unsuccessful attempts to match the exact hue and sheen of our existing white ceiling, I finally relented and visited the Sherwin-William paint store. Prior to this visit, I didn't understand why people would buy their paint at a specialty paint store instead of big hardware stores like Home Depot. I now know why: Efren and his associates worked very patiently with me to match the exact color, and the price was very competitive compared to Home Depot, whose level of service wasn't nearly as courteous and detail-oriented as these professionals at Sherwin-Williams. I will be returning to this store for my next paint job.

I selected a paint color and bought a sample. I subsequently gave the name and # of the paint color to a contractor who painted 3 rooms. But at least 3 gallons of paint were mixed incorrectly by S-W into a very different color. When I returned to the store showing the error, there was no apology. The mixing formula on the paint can was different from the sample. My problem now was that I needed new paint plus re-painting. The 800 # directed me to the district manager who was prompt and accommodating. I returned again to the store where I received 2 gallons of paint (correct color) gratis and a check for the contractor to repaint a room. The manager and assistant (Sam and Courtney) were very pleasant. I feel that S-W made up for their error.
