Criminals and outlaws! Be aware. Got robbed on a stage coach once. Very scary. Not for the feint of heart. Guess I shouldn’t leave it at that. Nice place, bought a nice hat at the leather store. Good candy store and candle making for the kids.

Went over to Columbia on Sunday afternoon and walked through the town and enjoyed it quite a bit. Kids aged 3-99 will love the preserved in time feel complete with actors dressed in period dress, checking out the saloons, shops and taking a ride on a Conestoga type prairie schooner. Very enjoyable, a must see for history buffs.

A pleasant surprise. The place is very nice to spend some time just wandering around, taking a stroll, enjoying the buildings, the history and the stores. The old western style and the gold-rush related history is very interesting. Staff from the stores and ranger are very friendly and knowledgeable. Even int covid times, although not as live as in the past, still very well worth a visit. there are plenty of parking lots and restaurant options as well.

This place is so neat! We only really walked down Main Street but there was still plenty to do. The horse drawn wagon wasn’t something you see everyday. And the town gives you an “old” feel but I loved every second of it. It’s also really educational for the children. They offer gold panning and big rocks for the kids to climb on. I just wish we could have spent more time here! We will for sure be back!

I loved it here. It was so beautiful and peaceful. It's like an outdoor museum where you can walk through the whole town. There are places to eat, a candy shop, bakery, coffee shop. You can ride in a stagecoach get a lucky horseshoe made, candles dipped and pan for gold. There was no entry fee to the park and a great place to take your kids while they are learning about California History too.
