Love the easy in, easy out at this store. Always well stocked and associates willing to assist
This place has the greatest staff!
Stopped by to pick up some birthday cards and found some great bargains.
There aren't a lot of Hallmark stores around anymore. This one is brightly lit and spacious with a great selection of cards plus a wide variety of other items perfect for gifts. The staff is always friendly and the store is neat and clean.
This is the worst Hallmark I have ever been to because of their exceptionally poor customer service. I'm case you don't want to read the whole review, they charge 11% sales tax!!!! Upon entering, there were plenty of people working but huddled around the cash registers only. No one took the time to greet any customers upon arrival. Nobody offered to help while I was looking for cards (I didn't need help but always appreciate an offer). When I went to check out, the person checking me out was visibly frustrated when I pulled out my large selection of coupons. She failed to explain my options and she was rushing to get me out of there. She was SO RUDE and talked down to me (and I'm a Platinum member ha!) due to the rush, when I asked her to throw some expired coupons out, I panicked and thought I threw away the wrong thing and I told her so she pulled out the trash can and said "you can look for yourself" or something snarky like that. I imagine the only reason this Hallmark survives is because of its convenient location otherwise STAY AWAY from Hallmark on Lane Avenue!!
The staffs here apparently get to choose which customers they want to assist and which not. I was the only customer when I entered the store, no one said a word, they were just chatting among themselves. I thought, 'Oh cool, they let people shop by themselves.' That was until another customer entered the store right after me and was approached and asked if he needed any assistance. Another one who entered after that was also immediately offered help. I was in the store for more than 20 minutes wandering around, and yes they saw me, and no one said a single word until I left. You'd better be white, or be prepared to be completely ignored. I'm not upset or surprised, it happens a lot in Columbus; it just needs to be pointed out.
In a last minute scramble I called the store and ordersed six Yankee candles. When I arrived they were gift wrapped so I was thrilled. Now I can show up and see unexpected family members through this holiday season bearing fruit's and great smells in 2013.. Thank you to the customer agent that assisted me. She paid every attention to detail. I feel terrible I cannot say your name. Thank You
