Connections offers counseling services to children, youth and families in addition to emergency youth shelter to youth and children in foster care. The counseling team is professional, most are licensed by the State or are in the process of becoming fully licensed. And many have been with the agency for many years, having started their careers with the agency. All of the counseling team receive training advanced training working with youth and children that have experienced traumatic events which result in a multitude of issues and at-risk behaviors. I love giving to my community. I take clothes and bedding all the time. I have donated food for the holidays. I am grateful for the work that this organization does for these kids. Please remember them when you are cleaning out your clutter which is their treasure. ️

My son saw a counselor from here for at least 2 years. My son has signs of developing anti-social personality disorder, which can turn into more serious mental health issues. He was never properly assessed and consequently a proper treatment plan was never set in place. I went there for help with my son because he was refusing to go to school and because he would not listen to anything I said (I am a single parent) and the counselor called the police and accused me of suspected child abuse. Why would I abuse my child and then request an appointment with the counselor? I was seeking help with parenting skills and for help with my son. The counselor (Kristin Ray) is obviously not experienced or trained to handle troubled teenagers or in family therapy. I mistakenly thought this place would help my family and not make everything worse for us. Thanks Connections for nothing!!!!!!!! I do not recommend anyone to go there or see Kristin as the counselor.
