I hadn't been a big World Market person in the previous cities I've lived, but I was in the market for flower girl baskets/pails and found a nice selection on World Market's website and ended up ordering some online for in-store pick-up. My goodness-- this is a fun store to walk around in! Lots of furniture, interesting gifts, jewelry, candles/incense, decorations, food, wine, etc. It's definitely worth checking out! They also convinced me to join their free membership program, which offers huge discounts. Fun place! Tip: there's a small underground parking lot!

Such friendly staff and so helpful. Great customer service. Love the selection and styles. Fun quality products with reasonable prices. Must stop in and shop if you're in the NW area. Grab your favorite cup of coffee and peruse the aisles.
This is a great store. Not only do they have good prices and good quality items, the employees there are actually helpful, personable and fun. Such a rare thing in this day and age, especially in Portland. Definitely a fan.
They always have a great variety of goods products. If you ever go, I encourage you to buy their Italian pizza crust... The best I've ever tried so far.
Cost Plus always has the best deals going on. The quality of furniture is certainly worth the prices you pay for it. Once a year, they have a mega-sale on outdoor furniture (usually in summer) where you can get outdoor furniture dirt cheap. Also has an eclectic collection of teas and other knick-knacks from other parts of the world.
Great place for stuff you didn't know you wanted. Most items you can find at other stores, strung all over Portland. Here you can find them all in one spot. Prices competitive advantage varies depending on the item. One item that it seems to be known for include its large selection of well priced wine.
I can always find a great and interesting gift for someone here...if not just for myself because that European candy is sooo good! They have a lot more than food though, with fun housewares and more. If you are missing the delicacies of a certain place you may find it there prices aren't necessarily fabulous but they often put coupons in the clipper magazine and the food stuff generally isn't too highly priced
I really like the decor and style this place offers. The prices a bit high but not unreasonable and you can't beat their selection of unique food and beverage items available. Great prices on whole bean coffee too.
