I have known Alex, the Principal at Cascade vacuum for 30 years, starting with setting up and supporting a custom built sputtering machine that we acquired at HP Labs. Over the years, we always had Alex help out whenever we had problems, including taking care of the Turbo pump on this as well as other machines, even though we had in-house maintenance help as well. When I wanted to acquire and rebuild a large (flat panel display processing size substrates) dry etching machine, it was Alex that I contacted first to establish the baseline parameters I should be looking for. Since I was looking for a used machine, it was important that I have some one who had a great deal of experience on a variety of machines advising me. In typical fashion, Alex came through to suggest I get in touch with another professional with relevant expertise and to get him in the loop. Together we evaluated, purchased and completely rebuilt the system for our needs. The machine still performs beautifully and is constantly used.
