Original and Emotive! Such a fascinating visual display of Mathew's intentional storyboard of who impresses him, of who has influenced him in his life. To hear this personally, from the artist, is an emotional experience leaving one feeling bonded as a people. He seizes feelings, and this is visible in their eyes and details. Painted with his own hands, he allows us to touch his gems. I touched the surface, noting the specifics , hoping to absorb some sense of permanency of the portrait. In conversation, he allowed a listening ear to the Golden Ratio - Fibonacci Sequence where I believe his art work captures this pattern of connection through each. A very sensual, sexy artistic experience indeed!

Another powerful experience of authenticity at Icons! Matthew captures the raw, honest humanity of his icons through their eyes, and you feel their presence and our shared humanity. I have a few favorites, of course, but the one that struck me the most this visit was Johnny Cash! David and I are grateful for the intimate one-on-one experience, and we look forward to our next one and what the new takeaway will be! Thank you, Matthew!

My mom and I had a great time here! What a wonderful personal experience in a beautiful place with superb art work. It's a totally unusual location, surprising and fantastic, and we had a great conversation with Matthew. The visit took less than an hour, and it was totally worth it. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Matt’s museum has such positive energy and is engaging to all that must see. He has a very unique perspective and genius idea for the idea of the icons he paints. I was extremely impressed with his museum and the experience he brings to meeting with clients. I highly recommend everyone booking an appointment with him.

The experience was just astounding!! You walk into a place of beauty, peace and harmonious with nature. The art is just incredible. Your feel the emotion of each painting. It is as if f they are alive. And to know that they were painted not with a brush but with Matthew's own hands. This is unbelievable, it takes great talent to accomplish this. I left feeling refreshed and I guess you might say it was a kind of spiritual experience. *Follow up Just wanted to share just purchased these fabulous prints and coasters for my home! This is how I chose to integrate my icons. With the wide variety of selection, you are bound to find something that will work with your fashion decor. I am so excited!

The Icons museum is a one of a kind experience. You will be immersed in artist/proprietor/host Matthew Montero’s world. You will be surrounded by beauty, class and history. The fine attention to detail in creating the perfect experience is evident from the moment you step into the museum. No guest will ever have the same experience twice. Matthew Montero has created a unique environment in which everyone regardless of creed, gender or social class can experience and learn about art and the greatest icons of our lifetime. Do not miss this opportunity. -

I have found my visits to the ICONS Museum enriching on every occasion. Matthew has provided portraits of societal disruptors in an environment that places the visitor in a carefully constructed space to consider, to peer into and (uniquely) to touch, the nuanced faces of dozens of individuals who changed the culture in which we exist. Some are imperious and whose self-assertion is almost dismissive of our attempts to fathom their persona while the humility of others invite one into their minds and hearts. Some paintings communicate the robust and unabashed energy in which the subjects cut a swath through life while other are demure and invite one to step in closer. Angst emanates from a few while peace flows from others. The most remarkable element, and the environment induces this, is that each painting is a personal encounter. One becomes engaged and, for me, it is self-revelatory each time to find myself drawn to “know”, to appreciate, which element of the human condition drove, led or seduced the individual to become so fully actualized. Their honesty, as communicated through Matthew’s research and talent, requires the same from the viewer. Hence, each visit leaves me thoughtful about both the subjects Matthew portrays and my reaction to having met people who made manifest the potential we, I, so often truncate. To walk into the ICONS Museum is the leave to whir of fabricated society behind and spend some time with the authentic people Matthew has captured. One comes away deeply enriched. The ICONS Museum is an opportunity to take a giant step inside the minds of some remarkable human beings; and the quietude and stimulus to do the same with own mind as well.

We had a wonderful time visiting the Icons Museum. The artist gave us a private tour, allowed us to touch his paintings, and told the background story of the icons. Every icon is celebrated and reflected in the depth and details of his paintings. It was the best art experience we had!
