Nice drive, when you just need to get out
It's such a beautiful park. Beautiful lake paddle boats. You go up to the top of the mountain and see far far far on a clear day. There states West Virginia, Virginia and Maryland. It's a beautiful green valley
The drive, while a little rough, is not all that bad. It's a maintained gravel road that in no way is not traversable. 10 minutes to the overlook is worth the effort!
An overlook in Cacapon State Park with a view of I believe 4 states WV, VA, PA and MD. Signage would be nice showing each state clearer. Lots of graffiti on the signs and railings. Very hot on the deck so it was a quick stopover. A nice day out if you visit the whole park.
Was a nice ride to the overlook. Road becomes rough and unpaved. In dry conditions should not present a challenge for most vehicles.
SO BEAUTIFUL! This view cannot simply be described in words. Go see it!
It's an easy trail that starts with this view. The next 6 miles is a beautiful walk surrounded by trees and wild berries on an unimproved road to the next overlook.
