Cubano's was recommended by the hotel concierge. So glad we gave it a try! The staff was excellent; attentive and friendly. The food was delivered promptly and was just delicious! Fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. Highly recommend this restaurant.

My family and I went Saturday evening with a 7:30 reservation on Open Table. We arrived at this restaurant to a parking lot in disarray with a supposed valet running around the lot doing nothing. That should have been the first warning sign of trouble ahead. We then proceeded to stand in a line inside the restaurant for over an hour. During that hour we were only acknowledged once right before they seated us. I tried to speak to someone on multiple occasions but was ignored. No hostess station so nobody knew what to do. After finally being seated we ordered our meal amongst the complete chaos of the staff and ownership of this establishment. To say we were extremely disappointed would be an understatement. Three of us ordered Grouper with shrimp and garlic sauce and what we received was not Grouper. We asked the owner Mario what kind of fish is this and he said Grouper. It was clearly a snapper. Way too small to be Grouper! Shrimp were inedible and no sauce either. Overpriced food with just rice and beans (one large bowl of beans that we had to share and dish ourselves). Consistently ignored by the staff and no social distancing whatsoever! Asked for more water multiple times with no water delivered and even the check took four requests. How this establishment is still in business is beyond me. Food was mediocre and service horrible! Wine list was pathetic and waaaaay overpriced. Disorganized,chaotic, ridiculously overpriced and underwhelmed. Never again.

Our experience was beyond amazing! The owner Mario is such a gracious host and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Johnny our waiter was attentive and really knew his stuff. He recited the entire menu without looking and assured us that we would not be disappointed. We were not disappointed in the least bit. Such an awesome experience! Cannot wait to come back! Staff, food, service and ambiance was top notch.

I recently moved to Fort Lauderdale with my boyfriend. We were really looking for that neighborhood restaurant that feels like “home!” Cubanos by Mario NAILED it on every level! The food is outstanding, the ambiance is romantic (love all the chandeliers and dim lighting), and there is also outdoor dining. But, most importantly...the staff...WOW! Mario the owner is so lovable and unbelievably accommodating. Noel has been our waiter several times, but the entire Cubanos family is so warm and welcoming. This restaurant never disappoints...we highly recommend!

If I could give less than 1 star I would! BEWARE They do not know the meaning of a reservation!! We booked a table for 14 people about a month prior and even called the day of to confirm our table. When we got there, there was about 20 people waiting with no host around to greet anyone. Everyone was so packed in this little restaurant, people walking around with no masks, that you wouldn't even think there was a pandemic going on. We arrived 10 minutes prior to a reservation to only be told 30 minutes later by the owner Mario that a previous reservation (who was reserved for 5pm) didn't arrive until 7pm. HOW WAS THAT OUR FAULT!? Our table was given up so now here we are waiting for over an hour. We finally gave up since owner wouldn't even bother to acknowledge us and just kept saying give us 10 minutes. I will be contacting DOH for not following any health protocols, definitely no social distancing! NEVER GOING BACK!
