Amazing people, amazing horses, amazing nature! We stayed over the long weekend in October in the new cabins, which were comfortable and authentically rustic. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen for our morning coffee, cooked our own breakfast on the electric hot plates, our dinner on the gas grill, and sipped local wine sitting around the firepit at night. We loved the horseback riding through the wooded trails on the property, through the Finger Lakes National Forest, and through open cattle pastures! I highly recommend the longer 90 minute rides. We had the pleasure of working with two of the wranglers, Jolene and Gary, they were both very knowledgeable, willing to share their approaches to horsemanship, answer questions, were very attentive to the comfort of the riders, and were happy to accomodate all our requests. The hosts, Dave and Kelly, were wonderful! Kelly had delicious recommendations for local spots, Dave started the firepit every night, and they were quick to respond and always around. It was our first time in the Finger Lakes region and first time at D&K Ranch, and cannot wait to go back! We would highly HIGHLY recommend it for those that love nature, animals, and are looking to unwind and reconnect! :D

I’ve been around horses my whole life, my partner is new to riding, and we both had the best time! This was the most fun I’ve ever had on a walking trail ride. The horses are responsive, beautiful, and well cared for. The staff clearly treats the horses wonderfully. The 1.5hrs through the Finger Lakes National Forest isn’t a follow-the-leader ride. It’s so much fun - I can’t wait to ride with the ranch again!
I truly have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. Kelly has put so much thought into this experience. Every detail; from the smores kits to the decor in the bathrooms of the cabins. We stayed in Martha cabin west for my 28th birthday & it was perfect. The property is GORGEOUS; quiet, clean- you’re in nature but you have all the amenities you need to be comfortable. Outdoor kitchen is just beautiful. We did a trail ride with Jolean (wonderful, knowledgable, friendly guide) through the finger lake Forrest. The pics I have are unreal and all of my friends are looking to book; seriously, this is a hidden gem off the beaten path. We are an adventurous couple and aren't ones to “relax” - the cornhole, darts, campfire, board games kept us plenty entertained! Also the cabins themselves- exceptionally clean. Very functional bathroom. Towels to tampons provided. Again, Kelly has really created a lovely, thoughtful experience on this property. We loved it and will definitely be coming back. Very warm & hospitable. Just a wonderful stay- not far from the wineries (15 min or so).
Went to D&K ranch for my step-dads birthday and we all had a great time! The staff is all very friendly and knowledgeable. The horses are all very nice and well taken care of. They were very helpful and great with the two little kids we had with us as well. Very welcoming and we will definitely be going back for another adventure.
What a fantastic place. If you're in the area this is a perfect activity to do. Whether you are a couple or family it's worth going. Very affordable price and perfect to start your afternoon. Kelly and Joleen are very sweet and patient. They know the horses well so it's easier to pair a personality with a horse. The horses are given to them for a variety of reason, some just because the owners were moving, they are trained well at D & K Ranch and great with visitors. Amazing people and horses. Must do!
