Absolutely a great physician. Recently, I was referred to Dr. Barbosa by internal medicine md and I could not be more happier by the care that I received from her. Expert in her field, professional and very caring. I would recommend her for anyone that needs to see Rheumatologist.

Selecting and finally getting a Rheumatologist is not easy. There are not a lot of them around and the initial wait to be seen, even with a referral, take many months. I read some reviews on here by other people and I think there expectations are not realistic. Does her office ask for a lot of information, yes, but so do all the other rheumatology doctors in this entire metroplex area. That being said, I personally have never had any indication that she does not care, on the contrary, she is very interested in any changes since my last visit and if I need help with medication, her office staff takes care of it all. She give me thorough exams and my RA seems to have halted progress, and even pain in my hips is considerably less now. I would recommend anyone needed her services to check her out yourself.
Dr. Barbosa is an excellent doctor. She is very detailed in her care and her office staff are always in your corner fighting with insurance companies and pharmacies when needed. I have been treated by this office for going on 9 years for systemic lupus. I highly recommend her as a professional rheumatologist.
I had to give a star I wish I could have not been able to it doesnt deserve one, this is an unproffessional office from staff up to dr's...needless to say dr Barbosa husband works for her and is rude as ever Dr Barbosa gave me a death sentence and gave me a feeling of no hope she was rude and non proactive she not one time stood up during assessment and she did a rather poor job every thing she knew I gave her verbally and she decided my plan due to that, the charges I had gotten was ridiculous and her and staff collects and unknown amount before she see you which I thought was strange because a claim hasn't been made at that point, I started investigating and asking other patients they all had similar stories of she was the last source and no hope.....bedside manners were very bad also warning to all you are your best advocate always always always get 2nd or 3rd opinion read all medical Bill's this office charges for everything and has no backup it's been done so you fighting your words against Dr's...read up on your illness and ensure your options dont just take her word..its sad how the medical word has cone to this is living proof dont recommend and another thing they deleted comments played for deletions hope this helps a patient that needs true help not to trust this office or dr if you are admitted to HCA ask for a different dr if you get Dr Barbosa I worked at hospital she round at her conversations are awful she dont care sorry to have to blast this dr but we need caring and trust worthy Dr's not money hogs that dont educate or practice what they preach..#your health is your wealth!!
