This was a first time visit and I will return. The food was hot and fresh but the highlight of my experience were the fried onion strings! I can't wait to have them again.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Chip’s Hamburgers off of Lover’s Lane in Dallas. A lot has changed there since I was last in and most of it was due to the virus. What hasn’t changed is the quality of the food and the service. There was a line out the door, but the staff were efficient and accommodating. I ordered the ½ pound, onion strings, and the Oreo shake. The shake was super thick, which is how I like them. Maybe their hard to drink through a straw, but they’re tasty and this one required a spoon. The onion strings were flavorfully battered. Nothing super special but tasty. The ranch supplied to eat them with was surprisingly not overpowering. The burger was definitely the star here. Pre-formed patty, seared and grilled to perfection with decent flavor and juiciness. The garden was reasonable, nothing particularly stood out but you could taste each item. The poppy-seed bun held well under pressure. The sandwich did try to fall apart near the end, but that was largely my own fault for not pressing the back-end earlier while eating it. Overall, if Chip’s were closer to home and not as busy, I might regular the restaurant. It’s certainly not the best burger in the city, but it’s well worth enjoying at least once. 4/5 If you would like to read more reviews about DFW's amazing local burger shops, look us up on Facebook (@BurgerByteDFW), Instagram (@BurgerByteDFW), and Twitter (@ByteDFW) #DFWBurgers #GoodEats #Foodie #DFWFoodie #Burger #Burgers #DallasBurger #DallasBurgers #DallasFoodie #FortWorthBurger #FortWorthBurgers #FortWorthFoodie #DFWBurger #ShopLocal #ShopDFW #SupportLocal

Nice neighborhood restaurant in Highland Park area. A personal favorite of mine. Good food, reasonable prices.

I had no idea this place existed until a friend took me there, it looks like a relatively old, hole in the wall type place and I was really satisfied with the food. Half pound beef burger with a side of french fries was 11 and it was really filling. I'd be happy to come back here.

Awesome!! First went to Chip's when I moved to Dallas in 1985 when it was in an old fire station building off of Central. I know they have other great things on the menu but never can get past ordering the 1/2 lb hamburger. One of the best burgers in town!! A must visit burger place! Keep on burgering Chip's!!!
