Can you give 0 stars!! How disgraceful this practice is taking advantage of people. A well visit should cover anything you need to talk about in a physical. If you even so much as breathe that you want to discuss your health they charge you for a specialty visit. Would LOVE to hear what they cover in a well visit without charging. Any reputable doctors during a well visit wants to go over your health and address any concerns. Not this one. Essentially they just want to take your money and could care less about your wellness. DO NOT GO HERE!!! HEED The advice of other reviews saying the same thing. SHAME ON YOU METHODIST TAKING MONEY FROM THOSE THAT WORK HARD TO EARN IT!

I have been going to Methodist Uptown since 2016 and have seen at least 3 physicians who have come and gone over the last 5 years. Of those providers, Dr. Vera-Burkhalter has been my favorite. She has great bedside manners, takes the time to listen, and addresses each concern. After each visit, you can tell that she truly cares. She is also very thorough. They have been accommodating with COVID and the telemed visits work well. I appreciate the office staff as they are always helpful. My parents, who do not speak English well, have been coming here as well since 2016 and love Dr. Vera-Burkhalter. Thank you for continuing to take care of my family and I!

Echoing the reviews of many others on here, I went in for my annual well-visit (which should be free with insurance) and they charged me 90 dollars essentially for discussing my pre-existing condition. A condition for which they will not prescribe my medicine each year without being seen for a physical. They said because I had an \abnormality\ (my very stable pre-existing condition) that they had to charge me. I spoke with my insurance company and while they said technically they are allowed to code and bill clients this way. They do not have to, and absolutely could have discussed my condition as part of my FREE physical. They are pushing any avenue they can to make money and profit off of people's conditions.

I have been going there for a couple of years now. It is always great. I get great care and seldom have a wait over 5 minutes. Everyone from the front office staff to all of the doctors and phlebotomist are always very professional.
