Shinsei Restaurant Reviews | Rating 4.5 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Shinsei Restaurant is located in Dallas, United States on 7713 Inwood Rd. Shinsei Restaurant is rated 4.5 out of 5 in the category pan-asian restaurant in United States. Shinsei Restaurant is a Traditional Sushi Bar with a Pan-Asian kitchen.

When we came up with the concept of Shinsei we wanted a place that reflected our lifestyles: sometimes we went out to dinner with our kids and sometimes with our friends and husbands. We wanted to create a place where a night out with the kids didn’t mean food adults had to suffer through or a night out with the parents didn’t mean a stuffy place where kids had to wear a scratchy clip-on tie. Shinsei is just that: a neighborhood gathering place with date night appeal.

Our food is electrifying. But not so unexpected that you won’t be able to decipher the menu or recognize your favorite dish. Never boring, yet comforting at the same time. Our signature poppers, for instance, are a sophisticated mix of late night bar food and sumptuous finger food with a distinctly Asian flair.

The restaurant is really good. The food was great and the staff was wonderful! Things came out very in a very timely manner and the portions were great as well.

This restaurant doesn't want to work with Favor. So instead of doing the honorable thing by telling Favor to take the option off their website, they steal the tips from the drivers. Most places charge a packing fee, this restaurant charged 15% of the price and put it as tip. Also it took 10 minutes for them to take the phone order, playing games and pushing hold 3 times, then over an hour for the food, just because they didn't want to work with favor, how is it the Favor runners fault?

Walked through the front door to a friendly greeting from the door team. Had great sake recommendations from the two female bartenders who were also very nice and personable. Sat in Joseph's section on the patio. Loved the ambiance and decor! Joseph said his favorite thing was the whole fish and let me tell you it did not disappoint! One of the best meals I have had in such a long time! The fried corny dogs were better than any state fair treat, the crab seaweed salad was the perfect balance of sweet and savory, the fried chicken was crunchy but also melted in your mouth like a perfectly cooked steak. The mushrooms and fried blue points were tasty and full of flavor. The fried cookie dough dessert was so good we ordered two! 10/10 would recommend this spot ! What a gem!

Shinsei had a ton of different options on the menu but none of them truly hit home with me. I will say the price is rather spendy for how affordable people say the place is. The wait staff was nice and helped me order a few of the special items that regulars like. Unfortunately I don't feel like anything I tried was super original. I'd consider coming back in the future.
