The waiting area of Texas Oncology has had some drastic improvements. It is much better than the old antiquated setup. Although there have been improvements aesthetically the services provided doesn’t not correlate. The employees are not caring and friendly as they used to be. They almost seem as if they’d rather not even be at work. They aren’t as communicative and friendly as they were at some point. The personal relations has had a sharp decline in my opinion. My former doctor (Moparty) seemed as if he became much more nonchalant over the years if you ask me. Tell him about your problems & symptoms and he will brush it of if your lab work doesn’t seem to coincidence your claims. He won’t even seem to be phased by anything you have to say. He will dismiss your comments with a quick rebuttal tell you when he will see you again and quickly leave the room. All of this was prior to COVID-19. He will not do any examinations of you physically. His main concern are the numbers of your lab results as if that tells 100% of the story. Take care of yourself as much as possible on your own and don’t depend whole heartedly on this plan as a regimen for your prognosis and treatment or your alignments. This was a disheartening experience. But it will no longer be a concern of mines since Im no longer “medically Ill” even though my condition still burdens me. I feel as if he played a major part in me being dropped from my insurance. I don’t even know the last time I saw him. I was assigned someone else for a doctor who was considered his “partner”. I cannot and will not cry over spilled milk, but to anyone looking for a new oncologist please do your research and find someone who will work with you diligently to resolve your issues but I think you will be highly disappointed going this route but to each it’s own. This isn’t my name so don’t try to find out who I am. :)

Been trying for 2 days now to get someone to actually answer the phone. Even left a message for a call back and never got one. Ridiculous. My dad had an appointment almost a week ago and needs to be schedule for scans that he has yet to be scheduled for. He has aggresive rare cancer that doesnt seem to be a priority to y'all.

My oncologists and their staff at Texas Oncology have all demonstrated the utmost compassionate care and professionalism. I have observed that their emphasis on teamwork and collaboration within their own system is key to their efficiency in diagnosis and treatment, all while inspiring a trusting and comfortable patient-provider relationship. This is something that is increasingly very difficult to do with today's insurance changes, not to mention the inherently complicated nature of the medical problems they help us patients confront. However, they make it look easy. They are amongst the highest caliber of medical teams I've ever encountered in the nation.
