If you live in TX, Vonlane is a G-d send. I checked with two major TX airlines for a comparison trip to DAL HOU or AUS. Many of the cheaper airfares are not direct and you can spend up to six hours, even more time than over land's 3.5-4.5 hours. With the shortest time being about 1 hour flight time, add in the hours for check in and wait times and Vonlane on the other hand taking between 3.5 and 4.5 hours you're not saving much time if you go direct. And, the cost is about 90 more based on round trip and with the cheapest fare. Rode Vonlane to Houston myself. In addition to fare savings and not a lot of time lost, sure beats the cattle car experience of the airlines.

Just traveled with Vonlaine yesterday Dallas 10AM to Austin 115PM. Their buses are super clean and cleaned while we are rolling. Everyone wore a mask and drinks and food were served without touch. Much better than Southwest any day and cheaper! Seat is a 1st class seat and very comfortable.

I had been wanting to try Vonlane for quite some time and finally had the opportunity yesterday. I went from Houston to Dallas. One unfortunate problem is that there is no terminal. You are being picked up on the side of the road, no cover from the weather. Thankfully it wasn't raining that day, but it was HOT, after standing and waiting for a while i was sweating like mad. The staff checking you in was fantastic, it's by far better than the airlines. On board, the seat was comfortable and comparable to a first class airline seat. I have EP status on AA, so I know! The attendant was friendly and was the right amount of attentive. I hate pushy attendants, this guy was spot on. Food was horrible. It's not a first class meal. I should have chosen to eat before hand. But it's difficult just because of the amount of time you are on the coach. The soda i ordered was off! I don't think I've ever tasted spoiled soda until now. Good thing I had a soda in my bag. I liked the idea of being able to work while on the way. Wife was great, but because you are on a bus, it is VERY bumpy and it was so difficult just to type emails I had to keep correcting myself and then I started to get nauseous trying to type of a moving screen. I finally just decided to watch a movie on my laptop. If you're close to the departure and arrival locations, flying is about the same time. If you are not, flying would be faster. But for what it is, and the amount of money you pay, I would ride again. I would still prefer to fly unless the locations are close. Overall, it's worth it ; it's just not the first class experience their advertising claims.

Left Dallas at 6am and made it to moody gardens in Galveston at 11 after waiting for 20 mins for our rental car. I got more work done on the bus than I ever could have at my office (lack of distractions). Service was amazing! Only negative was that there was a little but too much water in the toilet. I was afraid it would splash up on my work pants with a slight bump in the road. Decrease the volume of water in the toilet, and id give it a 6/5 stars!
