Haven't been to the new New Orleans shop yet but I can say based on my experience with their SF shop - the service and quality created by these amazing designers is unparalleled. Couture at its finest. Dark Garden only carries items from outside sources they stand behind, and want everyone to feel like the incredibly confident and gorgeous individual you are with your purchase. I love Dark Garden and if I'm in NOLA in the future I most certainly will be stopping by.

Just visited yesterday and what a wonderful experience! Autumn is great and very helpfully gave a little tutorial in lacing yourself. I can't wait to get my outfit from them. This is definitely my favorite boutique and it fits right in with the NOLA vibes. Go get yourself laced!!! It's so worth it :-)
Dark Garden is my favorite place in San Francisco, and now in my other favorite city, New Orleans. In addition to the most amazing corsets I’ve ever had the pleasure to purchase, they carry gorgeous clothing, stockings, jewelry, hats... pretty much any time I’ve gone out in the past ten years I’ve worn something from Dark Garden.
Dark Garden is great on so many levels. They make beautiful work that fits exactly as it should. They do it locally, paying local living wages to their local employees. They help everyone who wears their products feel beautiful and confident. I've been ordering their work for about 14 years and I have a lovely collection. Recently I got a medical condition that put me in a wheelchair and for which abdominal support is very helpful (for my now too-weak-to-hold-me-upright muscles) and abdominal constriction is helpful (for accompanying blood pressure issue). My doctor prescribed a medical corset (usually a nasty, ugly uncomfortable thing), and Dark Garden was able to fill it. They custom altered an existing under-bust to meet my medical needs and to better suit my usually-seated position, which is the kind of thing Dark garden has done for so many others before me. If something in an order ever isn't quite right (yet), they are always ready to make it better. Dark Garden is the epitome of classic craftsmanship and elegance. New Orleans is lucky to have it's very own Dark Garden now. I know they will bring the same quality and elegance there.
The ladies listened to my woes as I recounted my struggle to find a corset for my short waisted, wide hipped self, and fitted me with a corset that is perfect for me. I love it and wear it all the time, since it fits well and is super comfortable.
My gosh how exciting!! And perfect for NO. San Francisco and New Orleans seem like sister cities, and all sisters need a few divine corsets and underpinnings. Congrats!
