Decatur has taken steps to ensure our drivers and service personnel have protective equipment and are regularly disinfecting high traffic areas in the shop. The U86 Wire EDM machine provides larger machine travels and work tank to accommodate parts up to 55.1" x 38.8“with weights up to 6,614 lbs. While the machine has the physique to tackle extremely large part details, it retains the fineness and precision capabilities of smaller machines. The machine utilizes a stationary work table design that improves accuracy by eliminating variables such as work piece and di-electric weight shifting that can negatively impact machine movement. Extremely short set up times allow a vast range of machine components and large molds to be repaired and modified at any imaginable location. The laser welder can be transported the work piece or the work piece transported to the laser welder. Whats New At Decatur Mold Decatur Mold is excited to announce the purchase of our new Okuma Space Turn LB3000EX2 CNC Lathe. This is the largest horizontal lathe in the collection of Okuma machines. It has high power, high torque PREX motor, high quality machining from heavy to high speed cutting. It offers a wide variety of bed lengths, bore sizes and options to meet any shop requirements. It offers live tooling and 2 spindles.
