I recently had to have my pet euthanized at St. Francis. My goal is to start with something positive which was the compassionate staff. Unfortunately the inadequate, cold, and thoughtless, storage room my pet took his last breath in was not how I visioned him transitioning to heaven. My pet lived like the king he was and he had to die in a storage room with a metal cart in the center of it , that had a dirty pillow on top of it! I was not placing my pet on that! I can only imagine that you as a human would not want to transition in those conditions so why would you think that our pet that we love, would? You need a room created at your facility for euthanizing that is full of light and love. So the last vision that our pet remembers is heavenly not dreary!

I cannot speak highly enough of the incredible care, knowledgeability, and expertise of the doctors and staff at St Francis. Our sweet pup, Molly, was a patient at Saint Francis for the last three years of her life. The oncology team helped us give her several more healthy, happy years following her initial cancer diagnosis. Throughout the entire time she was a patient of Dr. Thiman’s, the St Francis team worked with us to help us understand our options, make informed decisions, and coordinate care with the UGA Veterinary Hospital. Molly was also seen by emergency veterinary staff on several occasions after hours. The staff has always been thoroughly professional, experts at recommending treatments and consulting with colleagues whenever helpful, and providing kind, compassionate care for our sweet girl and educating us and being patient during the hard moments. We took our sweet girl to St Francis when it was time for her to cross, and while nothing in the world makes that moment any less devastating, everyone there—from the front desk staff to the ER doctor who was with us when she crossed—treated her and us with enormous compassion and gentleness. Words don’t do justice to the gratitude we hold for the entire St Francis team for their care of our sweet girl and the happy, healthy years their care allowed us to give her.

Very caring people. We have a cat with cancer and they have him 3 months to live, that was almost 2 years ago. The Dr's there are very good at what they do and don't give up until they are out of options. Ali-Gator says thank you so much for what y'all have done for him...

We had a great experience considering the circumstances. Our dog was attacked at the dog park the day after Christmas. The staff was extremely friendly and kind. They have a really good system with COVID where they check you in from the car within a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately your pet will have to wait on their own inside but they set reasonable expectations with us. The doctor called us about two hours after drop off with a prognosis. The staff sent us an estimate shortly after followed up with a phone call. They took great care of our boy, set reasonable expectations with us, and the doctor was great (Dr. Smith). Pricing I think was also fair - it ended up being below the lower end of the estimate which is always great.

On 23 August, 2018, we had our 13 y.o. cat Silah in distress and laboring to breathe and unable to sit or stand up without losing her balance, she had also stopped eating and drinking. We were told it would be an hour wait upon arrival, but once they saw her condition, they immediately acted and put her on O2. After a discussion, we realized that she was critical and needed overnight observation and a full work up the next day. During the visit, she rapidly declined and we had to make the painful decision to take the big sleep and go over the ainbow bridge\. Terrance and Dr. Belz were incredibly professional, compassionate, and reassuring about the decision. Dr. Belz was incredibly humane and helped Allie and I feel as at ease as we could be. Time will assuage the pain and loss we feel, but nothing can get us to forget how fantastic the entire staff was. I highly recommend this organization to any pet owner in need of remarkable veterinary services. Hats off to these guys!
