I've been there nearly 10 years ago. This is such an incredible museum displaying history of decorative painting from Norway. Absolutely beautiful, highly recommended!

I'm not a huge museum fan but was blown away by this one. It is so well organized, the displays exceptionally well done and overall it was very engaging. There's an entire log cabin in here, and a handmade boat that crossed the Atlantic. The whole museum is well worth a visit and the people there and at the museum store we're very friendly. Also loved the art gallery part.

Wonderful collection that is largely the result of donations to preserve Norwegian heritage. Many activities and crafts are available. Decorah is pleasant, lots of local restaurants.
