There is a fantastic sledding area on your left in winter, if you're heading toward the main boat dock. Ample parking and a perfect slope. Also great for deer watching throughout the park because there are lots of deer and they're pretty bold. They'll often stay still for photos and video. Park also has an amazing assortment of birds and is lovely year round.

I enjoy hiking here with my family and dog. It's usually not too busy.

Large area to explore. First tail we found was near the marina and was flooded. Saw many people playing frisbee golf on a snowy/windy day, must be a fun course. Beach area has a neat playground. Might have to come back in summer to try out the swimming.

Nice trails along the river. Beach is good for a visit with family.
