I was a severe alcoholic who hadn’t missed a drinking day in over a year. I was blacking out all the time and emotionally was a mess. After detox, I came here and this place changed my life. I will be 6 months sober on December 9th and I owe it all to The Beachcomber. The strict rules on cell phone usage, while annoying initially, actually served a bigger purpose than I expected. I was able to disconnect from the stresses in my life and truly focus on my recovery. I want to thank Mike, Scott, Linden, Valerie, Stacy Jo, Harvey, chef, Sandra, and Harvey. I owe my life to all of you. I cannot express in words how much you saved me, and I cannot say enough about the level of care I received here. It wasn’t handed to me. You have to put the work in and you have to be an adult. This isn’t a resort. Your recovery is equal parts therapy, hard work and also introspection. We all had chores to do which helped maintain a routine and balance. My room had a little radio that helped me rekindle my love of music, something that had been stolen from me during my addiction. I would laugh at myself a little when I woke up early eager to turn on my favorite radio station. Felt like 2002 all over again, but in a nice way. If you truly want to get sober, this is the place to do it. I have not touched alcohol since I left and I plan to never touch it again. This place helped me lay the foundation for my lifelong sobriety, then the hard work was up to me, as it should be. Sorry if this is long winded. I just get emotional when I think about all that this place did for me. I truly, deep in my heart, will always love this place and will never forget the experiences I had there. The good, the bad, the ugly. It all helped me be the sober person I am today. Thank you, Beachcomber. You certainly are doing Gods work and you are doing it well, and I say that as an agnostic. Good luck to anyone reading this who is in active addiction, looking for a hand to help them out. You can do this.

One of my family members went through their treatment program. It was one of the best experiences of his life. They helped him get his life back on track and helped him to learn to love himself and his family who care for him the most. Greatest drug and alcohol treatment center in Florida.

The Beachcomber staff went above and beyond to make sure my son was taken care of. Because of their professionalism and dedication to helping individuals in need I have my Son back. he has made such an amazing recovery I could not have asked for more out of a addiction treatment center.

Not all recovery facilities are the same. In a dark times they offered help and hope for a brighter future for a dear family member who was struggling with alcoholism. If you want to get top quality, compassionate care from a knowledgeable, skilled, and outmost professional staff you must check this place out. They are the best choice for any one struggling with alcohol addiction and I highly recommend them.

The Beachcomber is a magical environment where the treatment is geared to meet the clients unique needs with a balance of family therapy (for the loved ones affected by the alcoholic/addict) yoga, acupuncture meditation and fun therapy I.e. arts and crafts designed to help the recovering addict/alcoholic work through difficult past experiences such as triggers, prior shortcomings, guilt and shame just to name a few. The program is intensely driven by the 12 step model that has proven to be effective since 1935. I would highly recommend this treatment facility for anyone that is serious about beginning their recovery from alcohol and or drugs.
