As a new dad I cannot state enough that Amanda and Mama 'hood have been a game/life changer. The hospital classes didn't prepare us for anything real world. First weeks in we felt lost. Enter Amanda....aka The Baby Whisperer. She helped us navigate what was real for us and not what the hospital classes "prepared" us for. Moms have enough on their plate, so Dads, this is a must have resource for you. Make the appointment for you, mom and baby. You will not regret it. They will come to house, masks on of course, check out the environment and see how you are feeding, changing, sleeping the baby and truly listen to your anxieties.....best part, they give you an actionable game plan, that for us, has worked well after every visit! We will be having her come by for all the major 1st year milestones for check ins. This has been a game changer, and as much as the "trial by fire" adage is so true with babies, she has helped shorten our learning curve, which means more/better sleep for us, less stressful evenings, and more time to enjoy with our little one. Last note, my favorite part of having them part of our team, is she does not pass judgement how we are doing things. Yes, we bottle feed, so what! She helped us master that! No breastfeeding shaming here! They also have classes for Grandparents which they all really enjoyed.

Had our first kiddo August of 2019 and went to the mamahood for all of our needs. First it was help with breast feeding for my wife, then it was early food eating classes (which have paid off btw), then to the tea shop next door among the fun mom group that my wife went to for a while. We had recommendations and counseling and everything in between, it would have been more difficult without the mamahood, that’s for sure.
As first mom, I couldn’t have done without Amanda! She has been amazing in every single step of my baby’s first weeks! I cant thank her enough. Looking forward to joining events in the community!
Boutique quality clothing at reasonable prices. I popped in with my teen/tween girls and scored some unique (non-maternity) clothes and jewelry that have become staples in my work wardrobe. The staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful, especially considering my kids aren't the quietest shoppers. I love having an easy go-to place for clothes rather than dealing with the mall, and Mama 'Hood will be that place thanks to its great non-maternity clothing selection.
An incredibly supportive space. I fully recommend their lactation consultant services to all my pregnant friends.
The mama'hood is a true lifesaver! Amanda is absolutely AMAZING :) We just had a baby boy and she has provided both lactation and sleep consulting in our home. The education and support Amanda has provided has been the most valuable information we have received! If you are pregnant or have a little one, my husband and I would highly recommend the mama'hood!
My first visit to this store was so great it certainly won’t be my last. I walked in with no idea what to even look for, not being a mom myself but shopping for a friend. She couldn’t have her baby shower due to quarantine and social distancing, so she didn’t make a registry! I felt hopeless and SO glad Ana was there to help me pick out some amazing and unique items, not just for baby but also for soon-to-be mom (she cried, I cried, we had a moment). Ana also wrapped the items in a cute bag and put in a card with information on classes they offer, all of which my dear friend absolutely loved. Can’t recommend this gem of a store enough!
Shopping at the mama 'hood was a dream! They have amazing maternity clothes, breast feeding supplies / support and even Pre-natal and mom & tot yoga! With CV I was able to take classes on-line and even schedule a PRIVATE shopping experience! THAT is what I call GREAT customer service!
