I have been a patient of Dr. Elkins for about 10 years now. I switched to his NUCCA type of chiropractic care because the treatments I received from the egular\ pop and crack type of chiropractor stopped \holding\ -- meaning I'd get the treatment and problem would almost immediately re-cur. At first I was surprised that such a gentle type of chiropractic treatment would be effective, but it was. I have continued to see him on an average of once a month for general wellness and to put my spine back into alignment after a workout or other situation where I can feel off kilter. I've been to his office since the Covid-19 situation and can attest to the cleanliness of the office and his hand sanitation practices. Social distancing is strictly observed- never more than 1 patient in waiting room while another is being treated. I highly recommend Dr. Elkins and the NUCCA chiropractic method he utilizes. Great experience!! A few months ago I got in a pretty bad fender-bender and was feeling tightness in my shoulders and neck that gave me headaches every day. I knew I needed to see someone but I was skeptical of traditional chiropractors and how they just crack and pop you every which way. I heard that NUCCA is more specialized and doesn't use that method, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Especially when my friend said it got rid of her migraines! Sure enough after my first adjustment- though it barely felt like anything compared to the techniques of my past chiros- I was headache free! Then recently I misplaced some rib-heads from lifting something and was feeling stabs of pain in my back whenever I breathed in or moved in certain ways, but after seeing Dr Elkins that pain started to subside and eventually leave completely. It's really great knowing I have a reliable chiropractor to go to, especially now that I'm taking martial arts. And when you live in LA fender-benders are almost a given. If you live in the area I'd highly recommend checking him out!
