I live this place. It's a beautiful place to go for a walk. All the rangers are very nice. If you're a history buff about the Allegheny Portage railroad the ground have many interesting things and information.

Interesting to see how early settlers used to traverse the mountains. The engine house was closed due to covid.

I've been here and it is so neat. Well at least I think it's neat. Such a historic place. The railroad was created to make a short cut across PA. The normal wagon trip was 22 days and this railroad cut it down to five. They have a picnic area, visitor center, and displays. It only was in operation for approximately 30 years, but so interesting. Please if you can, check this place out.
