This place is awesome! I got a mocha and it was one of the best I've ever had. The flavor of the espresso was intense, rich, and absolutely yummy. Such an upgrade from the bitter, burnt taste of the espresso I'm used to (looking at you Starbucks...) I'm also highly obsessed with the decor in here: it's classy and refined, yet cozy and welcoming. Whoever styled this place is a genius with amazing eye for design. If I was a Durango local, I would be dropping by here on a daily basis. Can't wait to go back when I'm in town again!
Durango Coffee Company very well might be the best coffee shop I have ever been to. OK, I am bias because it is certainly the best in the town I reside it and happens to be the closest to my office. This place is great. Everyone who works here knows me by name and knows my top two drink priorities, and I am not alone. Many of my colleagues and collaborators in town are regulars here and the staff at this coffee shop has continually asked me how the folks they have not seen in a while are given COVID. COVID - right, that reality. This business opened with precautions in place and was following CDC guidelines well before formal face covering orders were in place making it a safe place to have a safe cup of coffee during a pandemic. Also, they take pride in being 'nerds' about their coffee, which is my style. Got questions about coffee, bean varieties, roasting styles? They have answers. Got questions about brewing coffee and turning bean into grind and then into soothing, smooth, nourishing liquid? They have answers. Durango Coffee Company for the win.
My wife and daughter and I order some coffee and cider drinks but my son (8) is being indecisive. We are standing at the counter while they are making our coffees. My son decides he will have an apple cider. About 7 people have gotten in line behind us but have not ordered yet. My wife asks can we add another cider to our order and the lady says we will have to wait until she takes everyone else's orders. I was a bit shocked at this. She could have asked would you mind if I add one more drink to their order and most people would have said no problem given that we were in front of them.
Best coffee!! Very relaxing atmosphere. Great place to chill and talk.
