Dale is a great teacher! I highly recommend any of his many services. I'm a total beginner and knew he came highly recommended so I set up a lesson hoping he could guide me in the right direction and boy did he. He was very thorough and provided many great resources for someone new to drums. I look forward to more lessons in the future.

We took a beginners group class through outschool taught by Dale Baker of Durham Drum Lessons. We were so pleased with the drum instruction my son received! Teaching a group of young people how to play an instrument via a screen (zoom) is no easy feat. Dale was extremely patient, gave clear step by step instructions and kept the class totally engaged! Very impressive as this age group can veer off topic so easily. ;-) My son went from no drum knowledge to being able to read drum notes and understand some basic rudiments. (we didn't even know what rudiments were until after this class!) I even caught on to quite a bit just as an observer. I really appreciated all the supplemental information and tips he sent out to his students as well. If you are seeking drum instruction for yourself or your child, I highly recommend Dale's class.
Dale is a fantastic drum teacher - had lessons with him for almost 10 years. Turned me from a complete beginner into a very advanced drummer and greatly enhanced both my technique, and my love for all things drumming. Highly recommend taking lessons with Dale!

We're going into our second year of drum lessons with Dale, and we're amazed at the progress our son has made on the drums. Going to his lesson with Dale is one our son's highlights of his week. Dale's teaching style and incredible musical talent has really gotten our son excited about drumming and sticking with it. I highly recommend lessons with Dale.
