I highly recommend taking drum lessons from Chris. I had been drumming for three years and recently moved to Irvine. I studied jazz drumming and rock drumming and wanted to find a teacher that had experience teaching all styles of music especially someone that could teach jazz drumming. I searched “Jazz drum teacher in Irvine” and found Chris. He has been great and has so much knowledge from studying with so many great drummers like Joe Morello, Alan Dawson and John Riley. Chris is really patient and highly organized. I really like his overall approach to teaching. He has really inspired me and my drumming and always makes the lessons so fun. I can’t recommend him enough. Thanks Chris!!!

My daughter and I have been taking drum lessons with Chris for 5 months. We both love it. Chris is so great with breaking down things for us and making it so easy to understand. We have so much fun at the drum lesson and are learning the basics of drumming and how to play a lot of great songs. Chris is also close to us in Tustin, so that helps a lot. Thanks, Chris
Chris is awesome. I wanted to play the drums for years and finally decided to go for it. I have been out of college for over 10 years and decided it was time to try it. Drum lessons with Chris are so much fun and he is pretty close to me in Tustin. He is really organized and has a great way of breaking things down for me. I find he is super patient and easy to understand. If I don't get something right away, he always has another way of explaining it so I can understand it. I wanted to find a teacher that could teach jazz drumming and rock drumming and Chris has a lot of experience with all styles. Chris also helped me pick out an electronic drum set, which I really appreciated. I can highly recommend Chris for any student, especially if you are an adult student looking to learn the drums.
My 10 year old daughter had an interest in playing the drums for years. I was very hesitant because of the noise. My daughter kept insisting on playing drums and starting lessons, so I finally thought we would give it a try. About a 1 1/2 years ago we brought our daughter in for a trial lesson at the Dynamic Drum School and she loved it. I talked to Chris about the noise situation and he spent a lot of time explaining the different options for us. He did a lot of research for the different types of drum sets we could get (I really appreciated him taking the time to do that because I had no clue where to start). We settled on an electronic set that he recommended and my daughter is so happy. She really looks forward to her lesson every week and spends time practicing too. Chris is really great with her. He is really patient and enthusiastic when he teaches. My daughter is a little rocker and Chris teaches her lots of punk and rock songs that she loves. I have really been amazed at the progress she has made while studying with Chris for only a 1 1/2 years. I really recommend Chris to any parent that wants a trustworthy, patient and fun teacher for their child.
My son and daughter stared lessons with Chris about 2 or 3 months ago. We looked into many teachers, but my kids really liked Chris the best. He has a lot of teaching experience with young students (My kids are 8 and 10) and is super patient. After observing Chris teach a few lessons, I was impressed how he figured out that my children learn differently. He really gears the lessons to fit how they each pick things up differently. He is teaching them songs they both really like. My son likes AC/DC and the Foo Fighters and my daughter likes music from Frozen and Taylor Swift. He is happy to teach them the songs they like and they have a ton a fun at the lessons. Overall Chris is really great with kids and I highly recommend him.
