Being in jail was the worst I have experienced the cage I was kept in was horrible there was vomit all over rhe floor and walls and even on the concert bed I had to sleep on. Vomit all over the toilet which I would not sit on. There was nasty toliet paper on the ceiling and walls just stuck there. I feel that I was treated wrong for a first timer the gown I was in was paper and if you moved it would rip they only give you one gown in 24 hours and a blanket which also was paper. As the gown kept ripping I would take the torn paper and put on floor to walk on the floor was that nasty with vomit from the previous inmate. I feel my privacy was invade because of the gown rip and torn and it started to show my private parts. It was cold in the cage and as they kept getting inmates in they could see it all. I was ashamed to show my face because the condition I was in and the way I was half dress. I want everyone to know the way I was treated and how dirty nasty disgusting sickens that place was. I hope we get more people out there to come forward and write what your experience was there it needs to be told and heard. As for the workers if you dont like your job then find something else don't take it out on the inmates like some of you all do.I will say this after I was let out of my cage to go to a pod they threw another person in there without cleaning it. I was told before I got out of the cage that I had to clean up all the paper that was on the floor so I did only paper!! Remind you it still was nasty.

I send mail to an inmate, including eyeglasses which is medical and the inmate has not received it. It's been over a month. Also, their are really young correctional officers around age 20 working their. I wonder what training they have obtain to qualify to work at a prison! Has me thinking!

It seems like the main point of this jail is to take money from the families of inmates. Whether in person or on the phone they are less than helpful and have no issues making you wait hours for visits, property, etc. The visitation phone line is consistently busy and after 1 week of calling between the proper hours I have still not gotten through. Inmate letters barely ever arrive and if they do its super late. Email seems to work fine though and costs only 50 cents each. Overall I feel like dealing with ERJ on any level is less than pleasant.
