It was fun, especially for my daughter to see all the horses that people had at the camp. The camp itself needs some updates and I wasn't used to the indoor smoking at the store - but the horseback riding we did there was really the highlight. Lisa did a great job showing us the Shawnee backcountry on horseback. We were also able to get off and stretch our legs at Jackson Falls area. The owners were very friendly and helpful and even helped us jump our car battery!

If you want to go back to explore basics of nature and animals its the place to go! There is so many trails to take for horseback riding or you can hike it too. I'm not sure about other reviews but the owners and staff where super nice and knowledgeable. It felt like visiting your own family! The hardest part was to drag the kids out of there. They had a blast and memories for life!

This is a must stay! There is a huge acreage to explore on the campgrounds with horses, camels, zebras, plenty of walking areas, a pond, camp store, horse back riding, and the cutest camp dog! They offer Rv sites, tent sites, and cabins. Most of the cabins are actually trailor homes so you are not roughing it! Pet friendly to stay as well! From the campground you can walk right to some great hiking trails! There's also about 10 state parks and national forests within a 10 min to 1 hour drive!

Not a bad campground, but very unlevel in most sites. The riding is worth the stay though.

We stayed in the trails end cabin. The good: it was fairly clean. It was quiet after 10:00. It was actually quiet all the time but very quiet later. It was inexpensive. It had fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Window air conditioner in the bedroom. Easy access to several parks. The bad: it was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. The second night we put an air mattress on top of the bed and it didn't help any. I didn't realize how old I was until I tried to get up from the futon. It was tiny, no room on the floor for the air mattress.

Our family enjoyed the campground. Our cabin was rustic. The trails were beautiful and any level of rider could enjoy. Everyone was very friendly. We will definitely be back.

We reserved our campsite 44 and our friends reserved 46. We both drove 6hrs and once we arrived someone was in campsite 46. Their trailer was partially parked in our area. We asked the receptionist if she could ask them to move and she said, No, I will not ask them to move. That takes hours to set up. And left us with no options. We asked if there were additional spots, and they said no. Thus, the receptionist said that she could give us a refund and she would submit it to her manger Ruth. We left our names, our booking Ids, and our phone numbers. We both did not hear back. I called again on 9.7.20 at 6pm, right before they closed, and the receptionist acted like she had no recollection of the event and said both of our camping sites were unoccupied and that they would not issue a refund since it’s a holiday week and hung up on me. I called again, no answer. Tried to leave a voicemail but the mailbox was full. We never stayed at the location, our dates were from 9.5.20 to 9.7.20. We did not stay a night. In addition, everyone was extremely rude here, the bathrooms were dirty, and there was a man in a red barn that permanently resides there that approached my female friend and was extremely close to her face, no mask, you could smell the alcohol on him and he even mentioned how he’s “drunk as a skunk”. Very uncomfortable atmosphere.
