Truth Hurts

To say the least this park shows all the signs of neglect and a history of racial segregation from the past. Compared to Elgin Memorial Park and Veteran's Memorial Park this park doesn't compare. The basketball goals are rusted out and the paint is completely chipping off which can lead to lead contamination which is a hazard and needs immediate attention. This is totally unacceptable for the tax paying citizens who live in this neighborhood, especially the kids. The patio area and the side walks are cracked and you can see rebar exposure. Also there is no safe walking area. The walking area consist of dirt and huge chunks of gravel which hurts your feet.
