I love the Elysian, it's just loaded with old school charm--the tin ceilings, the retro wood bar, and the clustered bentwood chairs and marble cage tables. The front room is an intimate venue for cozy couples and local revelers. The back room, in stark white contrast, is open and airy often popular with groups or families. Outside seating during nice weather is so pleasant and reminds me of European cafes. The food is delicious classic brasserie fare, delivered by well seasoned staff. Cocktails are excellent, they have a nice selection of beers on tap, and a short but sweet wine list. Nothing is too fussy or expensive. Two for one night is a gem!

This place is perfect for a casual date or meetup. The food quality is great. I love that they offer the option of half a sandwich and half a soup. I definitely recommend the outdoor space if the weather allows - the indoor area is still nice.

One of my favorite restaurants in Hoboken for takeout or outdoor dining. Staff is quick and professional. Food is absolutely delicious. If you're there from brunch, I recommend the steak and eggs.

Just wow. Amazing food and not overly expensive! I would have expected to pay more for the type of food and atmosphere. Service was also timely and very good. I was so pleased to be enjoying such quality while not going broke, will definitely return. Can't wait to try breakfast!!
