Carol runs a fantastic place for us seniors to place our precious items (that we can no longer keep due to downsizing, decluttering, or having to move away from our home) on consignment. As each piece sells, you get a check (minus her commission) and over time ... it adds up to a nice chunk of change! I appreciate her caring nature.

Unbelievable how they are rated so high. They state, "Our staff works with honesty and a big heart, compassionate to your needs at any time," yet my needs were not met with compassion at all. The owner Carol is very rude and repeatedly makes excuses to delayed promises. She is friendly only when selling to customers, and completely changed her attitude when I requested for her to sell items for me. She is unprofessional, does not do her work, and only makes excuses. If they want 65% of the profits, the very least she can do is provide a contract in a timely manner. However, even after patiently waiting for 4 months, she did not provide me with a contract and made several excuses of being "busy." In the end, she vented her frustration for being busy at me and demanded I take back my items that she said she would sell. First, this is not how a customer should be treated. And second, it should not be a customer’s concern whether or not the store and/or owner are “busy.” I am not sure she understands the meaning of the word “business” or the fact that her business runs (in part) on people bringing in pieces they want sold. The owner’s lack of professionalism should speak volumes about the reliability (or lack thereof) of the store as a whole. If she thinks she can run a business with such an attitude towards her customers, she is completely wrong. I have bought a great number of items from her, but I will no longer step into that store after being treated so disrespectfully. If you want a trustworthy, professional, and compassionate liquidator, don’t bother. This is NOT the place to go.

During a period of turmoil and anxiety for me, ELH owner Ms Carol proved herself honest, tenacious, and fueled by goodwill. Other shops have long ceased contact with me...but now I think of Ms Carol as my friend. Live well and prosper!
