I participated in the Father Daughter experience and found Expedition Backcountry Adventures outstanding in every way. They delivered an outstanding experience with talented guides and extra-ordinary shared moments in nature. The trip we experienced was fun, safe and epic in so many other ways.

We were on the 4 day 3 night father/son trip in June 2018. The scenery and hiking/backpacking were enough to make this trip remarkable, but throw Jeremy and John (Jacob on rock climbing day) into the mix and it turned into a trip that I couldn't of even began to imagine. They cared about every detail and were top notch in my opinion. I kept forgetting that they were our guides because they just felt like part of the group, only, they knew what they were doing. My son and I were pushed and encouraged to do things that without the team at Expedition BA there with us, I am confident we would have never experienced. I mean really, who gets up at 5 am, hikes a mile to have breakfast on the trail then hikes about another 3/4 mile to an elevation of around 12,000 ft in order to make it to a partially frozen lake that before 7am, your jumping into....AND LOVING IT? Like we spoke about on our last day on the trail, it is refreshing to spend time with our children and walk away with tangible experiences and stories that are real...they really happend and are not part of our gamer tag or virtual world which in recent times have been blurred accomplishments in society. . This experience actually existed.
100% Recommended - Father/Son trip was fantastic, the entire experience from booking online to leaving the facility after day 4 was more than great. The people, the process, the communication, the preparation, the gear, the food, everything was top notch. Our guides Jeremy and John overachieved all expectations! Thank You!
What an amazing experience! My 16-year-old son, my 13-year-old son and I rock climbed for a day and hiked a total of 18-20 miles over three days with two other sets of fathers and sons. It was educational, fulfilling, physically taxing and 100% rewarding. Our family had not camped or backpacked before. Quality time in nature unplugged from the world was just the thing we needed. Both my sons said they want to move to Colorado now. I can't say enough about our guides - Jeremy and Isaac - wonderful young men, funny, smart, knowledge, the best. If you're on the fence about going, just go on this trip. You'll always be glad you did.
I can't say enought good things about this company and the people that run it. I looked online for a father daughter adventure and got just that with Expedition. Our guides were Jeremy and Jacob for rock climbing, then Jacob and Jordan for backpacking. Our guides were down to earth, knowledgable and full of passion for the outdoors, not to mention fun to be around. If your looking for a no fluff, but really well done backpacking adventure for you and yours', I would highly highly recommend this company and what they have to offer. I can not say enough kind words here. This was legit and my daughter and I had a blast.
Absolutely perfect! Jeremy Bauman at Expedition went out of his way to book and host a custom rock climbing adventure for me and my kids. Being from PA, we did’nt know what to expect. 4 hours gave my kids the most unforgettable adventure!! They can’t stop talking about it. Hats off to Jeremy and Expidition - you made an outstanding impact. Thank you and we will be back !!
