We spent two nights/three days with David & Jenna on their Homestead Overnights tour (March 1-3, 2020). To say we had a wonderful experience would be an understatement. We are discerning travelers who have traveled to 40 countries, many of which are with private guides, and David & Jenna far exceeded our expectations. They kept us safe, made sure we were warm at all times, and catered to our food preferences. They are excellent cooks and there is always plenty to eat. We did as many activities as we wanted, dog sled for as long as we wanted, snow shoed, and ice fished. It was a very authentic experience because David & Jenna are not just running a tour operation. This is their home and way of life. The dogs are amazing and well-trained when they're on duty and ultra affectionate when they're off. They also had a super cute 5-month old puppy who would not miss an outing with us. The whole process starting with booking and answering our bombardment of questions (they are very responsive to e-mails, which is how we communicated), to picking us up at our hotel and dropping us off at the end of our trip, was extremely smooth. I would highly recommend them if a winter active vacation is what you're seeking.

I had a great time with Jenna and David, and had an experience that is unique in the Alaskan nature that is hard to get from others! They made me feel safe and at home and were attentive to me. They are also amazing cooks by the way, I looked forward to every meal. They work with you and also ask what you are looking for and I had such an experience in an outdoor Alaska life with just nature in winter that only Jenna and David could really provide. It is a lasting memory and such an adventure that I recommend to anyone that loves outdoors and winter. Very attentive ever since the beginning emails until I had left them. I went in early January when many people said it is the coldest but with them it feels safe regardless of time of year and weather and did everything I wanted to do! Thanks you guys!
My son and I had a 4 day adventure with David and Jenna several years ago - an absolutely incredible experience / they are some of the most experienced and professional guides we've ever used.
What a special experience! I couldn't think of a better dog sledding experience! Jenna and Dave are beautiful people who are passionate about what they do and love their dogs with all their heart, meaning their dogs are well looked after and very happy. The experience was authentic and was very good value! We had the opportunity to both sit in the sled and also drive the sled (in a safe way). They take 2 people at a time, so while my friends were dog sledding, I was playing with the puppy in their warm and cosy cabin (where they offered us hot drinks and moose stew!! YUM) and cooking some fish stew for the dogs (who would be hungry after dog sledding). If you want a special, memorable, affordable and one-in-a-lifetime experience dog sledding, Boreal Journeys Alaska is your place to go. ENJOY!
I had such an amazing time at Boreal Journeys! Jenna and David were very friendly and sweet, the trail was beautiful and scenic, and the dogs were ADORABLE!! I lucked out and went when they had a new puppy, who was sooooo soft. Such a great experience!
